Mary Ann Reuter started her career with the State of Missouri in January of 1978 working for Representative Roy Cagle, (R-127, Joplin) who was elected in a special election in December 1977. In June 1983 MaryAnn went to work for then Attorney General, John Ashcroft, and stayed within state departments during his two terms as Governor, leaving shortly after Carnahan was elected.

MaryAnn returned to the State Capitol in December 1996 to work for Representative Carson Ross (R-55, Blue Springs). When Rep. Ross was term-limited in 2002, Rep. Bryan Pratt kindly asked her to stay on with his office.

MaryAnn and her husband of 44 years, Bob, have two children and five grandsons. She is active in her parish church, Immaculate Conception, Republican politics and her book club.


Legislative Interns

I have three great interns this year. 

Phil Raine from Truman State University is my full-time intern.  He grew up in Parkville, Missouri. 

Grant Messner from the University of Missouri-Columbia is my part-time intern.  He grew up in Blue Springs, Missouri.

Tony Luetkemeyer from the University of Missouri-Columbia is my research intern.  He grew up in Farmington, Missouri.
